Consumers must be diligent, however. The current market has been hit very hard by posers, scammers and mid-western call centers that sell jobs to the highest bidder. All of these sites allow people to write testimonials so that you can see what others are saying about them.

And don’t conveniently choose the locksmith with the best testimonials. The bad guys will often load up these review sites with dozens, even hundreds of phony ratings and critiques. If a listing seems to have dozens of 5-star reviews in Merchant Circle, for example, and hardly any reviews in Yelp, then you can definitely bet something is not right.
